Victims in North Central Florida – More Help Needed

In the wake of the devastating impacts of Hurricanes Debby, Helena, and Milton Specialized Charities Group has stepped up to provide much-needed relief to thousands of storm victims across North Central Florida. Over 56,000 essential items were distributed to families in desperate need, including diapers, socks, underwear, clothing, shoes, wipes, shampoo, conditioner, lotions, sprays, cleaning supplies, candles, toys, mattresses, small appliances, and much more. These items helped bring a bit of comfort and dignity back to families whose lives have been turned upside down by the storms.

As part of our ongoing disaster relief efforts, we are preparing for our next major giveaway to help even more families in need. However, our resources have been stretched to the limit. Our supply for the annual gift giveaways—especially for kids, seniors, and veterans—has been completely depleted. We are urgently seeking donations to restock and continue our mission of helping those who need it most.

We are asking for donations of the following items:

  • Financial aid

  • Toys for children

  • Shoes and clothing of all sizes

  • Personal care items (shampoo, diapers, soap, deodorant, etc.)

  • Winter clothing and blankets

  • Cleaning Supplies

  • Nonperishable food items

  • Household good's, giftware, and houseware's

  • Gift Cards

If you or your organization can contribute, we are equipped to handle large donations, including trailer loads, at our facilities. We also welcome volunteers who are passionate about making a difference in the lives of those affected by these storms.

Facility in Need of Repairs

As you can see from the pictures, of our next scheduled give away (November 9, 2024) our own 20,000+ sf facility was severely damaged during the hurricanes. We are in urgent need of repairs to continue operating and serving those in need. We humbly ask for any support—whether it’s materials, funds, or time to help rebuild—so we can continue our work. Our 12 acre compound is also in need of tree cleanup.

Thank you for standing with us, NO DISASTER is going to stop US, as we support the communities and individuals affected by Hurricanes Debby, Helena, and now Milton. Together, we can rebuild and restore hope.
